Job Summary:
A Motor Winding Technician is responsible for winding, rewinding, repairing, testing, and maintaining electric motors, generators, transformers, and related electrical equipment. The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, winding techniques, and safety procedures to ensure reliable equipment performance.
Experience : 2 to 5 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform winding and rewinding of AC/DC motors, generators, and transformers.
- Remove damaged windings and prepare cores for rewinding.
- Select and install appropriate insulation materials and winding wire.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, winding data, and technical specifications.
- Assemble, dismantle, and repair electric motors and related equipment.
- Conduct electrical tests such as insulation resistance, continuity, and surge testing.
- Identify faults and recommend suitable repair solutions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Follow workplace safety standards and company procedures.
- Prepare job reports and maintain maintenance records.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of motor winding techniques and electrical repair.
- Ability to use electrical testing instruments.
- Understanding of electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Engineering, or a related trade.
- Experience in motor winding and repair (preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
