Job Summary
We are seeking a warm, patient, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our preschool team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children (ages 2–6) can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support early childhood development
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
- Observe and assess each child's development, progress, and needs
- Foster social skills, language development, motor skills, and early literacy/numeracy
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's progress and daily activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods
- Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior guidance techniques
- Prepare and maintain student records, progress reports, and attendance
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, assistants, and school administration
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Organize and participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and celebrations
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Prior experience working with preschool-age children preferred
- Strong understanding of child development milestones
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred or required)
- Background check/police clearance as per local regulations
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other early education approaches
- Basic art, music, or storytelling skills
- Ability to handle multiple children with varying needs
- Bilingual abilities (if applicable to school)
