FarmIQ is an agriculture-focused learning, consulting, farm management, and rural development initiative committed to creating skilled agricultural manpower, empowering farmers, and building sustainable agri-business ecosystems.
The organization is establishing a vocational training and farmer development centre that will provide practical training, employment-oriented courses, farmer advisory services, and agri-business development programs.
Position Summary
The Project & Business Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the entire Vocational Training and Farmer Development Vertical of FarmIQ.
The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen. Agricultural background is not mandatory. Candidates from education, training, consulting, startup, operations, marketing, or business development backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The selected candidate will be responsible for business planning, team building, admissions, marketing, operations, farmer engagement, digital outreach, and overall profitability of the vertical.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute growth strategies for FarmIQ training programs.
- Achieve student enrollment targets.
- Develop farmer subscription and membership programs.
- Build partnerships with institutions, NGOs, FPOs, corporates, and community organizations.
- Identify new revenue streams and business opportunities.
2. Training Centre Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the training centre.
- Ensure smooth execution of vocational training programs.
- Monitor student attendance, progress, and outcomes.
- Ensure quality delivery of all courses and training activities.
3. Team Recruitment & Leadership
- Recruit and manage trainers, coordinators, counselors, and support staff.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular reviews and team meetings.
- Develop a performance-driven culture.
4. Sales & Admissions
- Design admission processes and enrollment systems.
- Generate leads through field activities and digital campaigns.
- Conduct counseling and conversion activities.
- Track admission pipelines and conversion ratios.
5. Marketing & Brand Building
- Develop local marketing campaigns.
- Plan farmer outreach programs.
- Organize workshops, demonstrations, and awareness events.
- Build FarmIQ as a trusted rural brand.
6. Social Media & Digital Growth
- Lead Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn growth initiatives.
- Coordinate content creation teams.
- Monitor digital engagement and lead generation.
- Ensure regular content publishing.
7. Process Design & MIS
- Design SOPs and operational systems.
- Develop reporting formats and dashboards.
- Implement Google Sheets and MIS systems.
- Track business performance through data-driven reporting.
8. Placement & Farmer Network Development
- Build a network of farms, farmhouses, nurseries, and agri-businesses.
- Facilitate employment opportunities for trainees.
- Manage employer registration programs.
- Develop long-term farmer engagement initiatives.
