Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically competent Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, execution, operation, and management of STP, ETP, and Biogas Plant projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of environmental engineering principles, wastewater treatment processes, regulatory compliance, project coordination, and cost estimation. The role requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering
- Design and develop STPs, ETPs, and Biogas Plants based on project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Perform process calculations and optimize treatment system performance.
- Support project planning, technical documentation, and engineering reviews.
2. Project Execution & Commissioning
- Coordinate project execution activities from design to commissioning.
- Supervise construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor quality, safety, and compliance requirements at project sites.
3. STP & ETP Operations
- Monitor and oversee STP and ETP operations and maintenance activities.
- Analyze treatment plant performance and recommend process improvements.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with discharge standards and environmental regulations.
4. Waste Management & Sustainability
- Develop waste management and resource recovery solutions.
- Conduct environmental assessments and waste audits.
- Recommend sustainable and cost-effective environmental solutions.
- Support environmental monitoring and sustainability initiatives.
5. Client Coordination & Project Management
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
- Prepare technical proposals, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure effective communication between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
6. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board (PCB) regulations and environmental standards.
- Assist in obtaining environmental clearances, permits, and approvals.
- Stay updated with applicable environmental laws, guidelines, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Environmental Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in environmental engineering projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of STP, ETP, and Biogas Plant design, operation, and maintenance.
- Experience in engineering design, process calculations, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, PCB requirements, and compliance procedures.
- Ability to prepare project cost estimations and budgets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team coordination and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering/design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel for site visits, inspections, and project monitoring.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Preference will be given to candidates based in or willing to relocate to Kochi, Kerala.
