Job Summary
highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI and API automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in modern automation tools (preferably Playwright), solid programming knowledge, strong database testing experience, and exposure to Snowflake data validation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable automation solutions and ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Perform UI (Web) automation using tools like Playwright
- Develop and execute API automation test suites
- Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation
- Maintain, enhance, and debug automation scripts for stability and scalability
- Perform database validation and backend data verification using SQL queries
- Validate data pipelines and reporting outputs using Snowflake
- Write and execute Snowflake SQL queries to support test data validation and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with product, development, data engineering, and QA teams
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and automation strategy
- Integrate and execute automation tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Report, track, and validate defects
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
- Should be flexible to do manual testing if required
Key Responsibilities
1. To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client /team to understand functional /design specifications ,highlight performance concerns, inconsistencies ,ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place/kept upto date.
2. To Identify opportunities for process improvement in testing methodologies /tools and Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
3. To oversee the creation and execution of automated test scripts ensuring consistency and alignment with quality standards to minimize exposure.
4. To develop/guide and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework , enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
Skill Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- UI Automation Testing
- API Automation Testing
- Experience working with Playwright (preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language:
- Java / Python / JavaScript
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database testing
- Experience working with databases such as:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of Snowflake Data Cloud platform
- Ability to write, analyze, and optimize Snowflake SQL queries for data validation and test verification
- Experience validating data transformations, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting data in Snowflake environments
- Hands-on experience in CI/CD tools and pipeline integration, including:
- Jenkins
- Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with version control systems (Git)
- Experience in:
- Test case design and analysis
- Identifying test cases for automation
- Maintaining and optimizing automation scripts
- Good understanding of:
- Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to interact effectively with product and business stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members
Nice to Have:
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Exposure to test reporting and monitoring tools

- Familiarity with Snowflake architecture, data warehouse concepts, and data quality validation strategies
