Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations, maintaining high standards of service, managing budgets, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about providing a quality customer experience and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the cafe, including managing opening and closing procedures, staff schedules, and ensuring the cafe operates smoothly.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and implement best practices for cleanliness and food safety.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for labor, inventory, and operating costs. Monitor and control expenses to achieve financial goals and improve profitability.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency and quality in all products and services. Regularly check product quality, presentation, and portion sizes to maintain high standards.
- Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of the cafe, including staff performance, equipment condition, cleanliness, and inventory to ensure everything meets the highest standards.
- Customer Service Excellence: Maintain exceptional customer service standards. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional, timely, and effective manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of baristas, cooks, and support staff. Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to enhance employee productivity and morale.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, place orders, and ensure stock is managed efficiently to avoid shortages or wastage.
- Preference for Tamil-speaking Candidates: Tamil-speaking candidates are preferred to enhance communication and customer experience in the local community.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cafe or restaurant manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
