About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Diploma graduates (Electrical / Mechanical) to join our Panel Manufacturing unit as Interns. Selected candidates will be trained and placed in our Drawing Department (Electrical / Mechanical) and Technical Costing function. On successful completion of the training period and satisfactory performance evaluation, candidates will be absorbed as full-time, on-roll employees of the company.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrawing Department (Electrical / Mechanical)
- Assist in preparing and reading GA (General Arrangement) drawings, single line diagrams (SLD), and schematic drawings for electrical panels
- Support in preparing fabrication drawings, layout drawings, and BOQ/BOM as per project requirements
- Work on AutoCAD / relevant drawing software under guidance of senior engineers
- Coordinate with production and design teams for drawing revisions and approvals
- Maintain drawing records, revision history, and documentation as per company standards
- Assist in interpreting client specifications and converting them into technical drawings
Technical Costing
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for electrical panels based on BOM, drawings, and specifications
- Support in vendor/material rate comparison and costing sheets
- Learn to calculate material, labour, and overhead costs for panel manufacturing
- Assist senior costing engineers in preparing quotations and techno-commercial offers
- Maintain costing records and data for future reference and analysis
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (recognized board/institute)
- Freshers are welcome; prior internship/project exposure in panel manufacturing, drawing, or estimation will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing tools preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical panels, switchgear, or mechanical fabrication is a plus
- Good analytical and mathematical skills for costing-related work
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing/technical environment
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word; AutoCAD knowledge preferred)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drawing and costing work
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers
