Job Summary
The person will be responsible for establishing and sustaining a world-class quality management system across all three pillars of the manufacturing value chain — Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain. Champion a zero-defect culture by building robust quality systems, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that elevate product reliability, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Deliverables
1. Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement quality management systems (QMS) across the organization.
- Develop quality policies, frameworks, and standards aligned with industry regulations (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Lead enterprise-wide quality transformation initiatives across engineering verticals.
2. Quality Assurance & Control
- Oversee inspection, testing, and defect management processes
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications depending on set guidelines
- Drive supplier quality management, ensuring end product meet company standards
3. Audits & Compliance
- Conduct internal and external quality audits
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (QHSE).
- Manage customer escalations and compliance reporting
- Keep timely recodrs of the audits for review & tracking progress
4. Continuous Improvement
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Drive automation and digital quality tools for real-time monitoring.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to embed quality into the product lifecycle
- Partner with project management to ensure execution quality on live sites.
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability across the organization.
Key Focus Areas
- QUALITY STRATEGY & ROADMAP: Define the multi-year quality strategy aligned to the company’s business plan; translate strategy into measurable goals, OKRs, and annual quality plans.
- COMPLIANCE & CERTIFICATION: Own all quality certifications; manage internal audit programme and interface with third-party registrars.
- RISK MANAGEMENT: Identify systemic quality risks across the value chain; build proactive risk registers and mitigation plans to protect customers and the business.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP: Build, lead, and develop a high performing quality team across engineering, production & supply chain; establish clear objectives and succession pipelines.
Desired Candidate
- 15+ Years of experience in Quality management
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (preferably)
- Hands-on experience across engineering, production, and supply chain quality
- Proven track record of implementing and scaling Quality Management Systems
