We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven professional to lead the company's coal marketing and business development function with excellent negotiation skills and sound technical knowledge. The General Manager – Marketing (Coal) will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for the sale, sourcing, procurement, and trading of Thermal Coal and Coking Coal while ensuring sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, negotiating commercial agreements, managing key accounts, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The applicant will lead coal procurement, sourcing, and trading initiatives and must also be technically sound.
The role requires close coordination with mining, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth coal dispatch. The candidate will monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, pricing movements, and regulatory developments to provide strategic business insights and support management decision-making.
Role requirements:
The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in the buying, selling, sourcing, trading, or marketing of Thermal Coal and/or Coking Coal, with descent industry relationships, negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving business targets and driving profitable growth.
Pay: From ₹800,000.00 per year
