As a Senior Embedded Test Engineer at Atlas Copco Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded software across a range of advanced industrial products. Your responsibilities include comprehensive verification of embedded software through manual and automated testing, collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to refine requirements, and the development of Python-based automation to expand regression coverage and enhance testing efficiency.
You will be embedded within a multidisciplinary team responsible for cutting-edge products such as PLC controllers utilizing CODESYS and Straton, vacuum pump controllers, industrial communication modules, and EtherCAT-based devices. This role demands hands-on expertise in setting up and executing functional, integration, and system tests, managing test artifacts within tools such as Jira Xray, and advancing automated testing frameworks integrated with continuous integration pipelines like TeamCity and Jenkins.
Your day-to-day tasks will also include thorough analysis of test failures through logs and system behavior observations, defect tracking and retesting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of QA practices and automation tools. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers, influencing quality standards and methodologies across projects.
You will work with embedded operating systems, network stacks, industrial communication protocols (such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, CANopen), hardware interfaces, and automated test systems. This environment balances both legacy and modern technologies, providing a stimulating setting for innovation and technical growth.
