Job Summary
The HR Recruiter – Blue-Collar Recruitment is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workforce requirements. The role involves sourcing, screening, and coordinating the hiring of candidates for positions such as fabricators, welders, electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, helpers, operators, drivers, and other site-based personnel. The recruiter will ensure timely manpower deployment to meet operational and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle for blue-collar and technical positions.
- Source candidates through job portals, recruitment agencies, social media platforms, employee referrals, trade schools, and field recruitment drives.
- Screen resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and shortlist suitable candidates based on job requirements.
- Coordinate trade tests, practical assessments, and client interviews.
- Maintain and update a database of skilled and unskilled workers for future manpower requirements.
- Verify candidate documents, certifications, work experience, and eligibility criteria.
- Coordinate offer issuance, joining formalities, and onboarding activities for selected candidates.
- Work closely with project managers and department heads to understand manpower requirements and recruitment priorities.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies, manpower suppliers, and overseas consultants to fulfill hiring needs.
- Track recruitment progress and ensure vacancies are closed within the required timelines.
- Prepare recruitment reports, hiring status updates, and manpower availability reports for management.
- Assist in mobilization activities, including visa processing, medical examinations, travel arrangements, and deployment coordination for overseas projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical institutes, ITIs, vocational training centers, and manpower providers.
- Ensure compliance with company recruitment policies and labor regulations throughout the hiring process.
- Participate in job fairs, recruitment campaigns, and mass hiring initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in blue-collar or technical recruitment.
- Experience in construction, HVAC, MEP, manufacturing, engineering, or contracting industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of recruitment channels and sourcing techniques for skilled and unskilled manpower.
- Proficiency in MS Office and recruitment portals.
