WordPress Developer – Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites from start to finish
- Create custom themes, customize plugins, and manage website functionality
- Work with custom post types, taxonomies, ACF, and page builders like Elementor and WPBakery
- Handle WooCommerce customization, payment gateway integration, APIs, and WordPress hooks
- Manage front-end and back-end development using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Optimize website speed, performance, SEO, and fix bugs when needed
- Communicate with clients, understand project requirements, and deliver projects on time
- Assist in testing, debugging, quality checks, and guide junior team members
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP
- Experience in custom theme and plugin development
- Good understanding of ACF, APIs, Ajax, jQuery, and MySQL
- Familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, and SEO best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4–7+ years of WordPress development experience
- Experience in a service-based IT company preferred
- Must have handled multiple projects independently
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
