Role Overview
The Factory In-Charge is responsible for overseeing end-to-end factory operations — including production planning, dispatch management, inventory control, and quality compliance. This role ensures timely delivery of projects, efficient use of materials, adherence to safety and process standards, and continuous improvement across factory functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Dispatch Management
- Plan and monitor production schedules as per project deadlines.
- Ensure on-time dispatch of projects and manage snag works efficiently.
- Track turnaround time for snag resolution and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee board cutting, usage, and on-site dispatch planning.
2. Quality Control & Process Compliance
- Ensure QC completion and approval for every project before dispatch.
- Supervise CNC, GFC, and packing process compliance.
- Identify and resolve production or quality issues proactively.
3. Inventory & Material Accountability
- Oversee receipt, usage, and balance of boards, laminates, and hardware.
- Track and report damaged or misused materials.
- Ensure reuse and accountability documentation for all items.
4. Team Supervision & Discipline
- Supervise production staff.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
- Address deviations and maintain discipline within the factory team.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily and monthly performance trackers.
- Provide reports on production efficiency, QC, and material usage.
- Present management summaries and improvement plans during review meetings.
6. Process Improvement & Initiative
- Identify process bottlenecks and propose operational improvements.
- Lead implementation of approved initiatives with measurable impact.
