Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Middle School Biology Teacher who can create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment and effectively teach Biology concepts according to the international curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for middle school students.
Follow the prescribed IGCSE/Cambridge or international curriculum framework and school academic guidelines.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets, assessments and activities.
Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations wherever appropriate.
Develop students’ scientific thinking, inquiry, observation and problem-solving skills.
Assess and monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance and assessments.
Differentiate instruction according to students’ learning needs and abilities.
Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into lessons.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, workshops and professional development programmes.
Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team to plan interdisciplinary activities.
Ensure laboratory and classroom safety during practical activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Biology / Life Sciences / related field.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school policy.
Prior experience teaching middle school Biology/Science.
Good understanding of international/IGCSE curriculum and assessment practices.
Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
Ability to use digital teaching tools and learning platforms.
Passion for working with middle school students.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Cambridge/IGCSE, IB, or another international curriculum will be an advantage.
Experience conducting Biology practicals and inquiry-based activities.
Familiarity with international assessment and learning objectives.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
