Job Summary
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET and .NET Core 8.0 to support VLIMS 2.0 development. The role involves building scalable backend systems, developing Windows Services for offline template processing, and handling robust database operations using MS SQL Server. The candidate should be capable of quickly understanding existing systems and contributing with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop backend modules for VLIMS 2.0 using C# and .NET Core 8.0.
· Develop and maintain Windows Services for offline template generation and background processing.
· Build secure and high-performance REST APIs.
· Translate BRDs into technical design and implementation.
· Design, optimize, and maintain databases in MS SQL Server.
· Write complex queries and stored procedures and optimize performance.
· Ensure data integrity, logging, and exception handling.
· Collaborate with frontend, QA, and business teams.
· Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
· Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews.
Technical Skills – Must Have
· Strong experience in C# and .NET / .NET Core (preferably .NET Core 8.0).
· Hands-on experience in Windows Services / Background Services.
· Expertise in ASP.NET Core Web API development.
· Strong experience with MS SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, tuning).
· Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
· Experience with Entity Framework / Dapper.
· Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (JWT, role-based access).
· Experience using Git.
Technical Skills – Good to Have
· Experience in Excel/PDF template generation and file processing.
· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
· Knowledge of Azure / cloud services.
· Familiarity with background job tools (Hangfire, Quartz).
Domain Expectations (Preferred)
· Experience in the LIMS / laboratory domain.
· Understanding of audit trails, compliance, and validation processes.
· Experience handling master and transactional data systems.
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Educational Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT or related field.
