Overview of the Role:
We are looking for a Program Design & Effectiveness Associate to drive evidence-based program improvement and scalable growth. This role involves designing pilots, reading implementation signals and deriving patterns, translating findings into decisions, and coaching on-ground teams to apply changes with fidelity across programs and learning centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
-
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of projects from initiation to closure.
-
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timelines.
-
Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
Research and Development: Program Design & Field Experimentation:
-
Define pilot program or project hypotheses, success metrics, and a practical comparison approach, such as baseline vs comparison group or time-based comparisons.
-
Develop pilot design covering scope, site selection, timelines, roles, risk controls, and SOPs.
-
Design and develop content and student learning materials for the program.
-
Drive the pilot operations through readiness checks, observation plans, training plans, and consistent troubleshooting.
-
Lead mid-pilot sensemaking and post-pilot synthesis.
-
Make clear improvement recommendations with documented learnings.
Evidence-based decision support:
-
Develop clear evaluation questions that connect directly to decisions the organization needs to make.
-
Design and map indicators, data collection tools, and analysis approaches.
-
Produce reports with insights and recommended actions for program improvements.
Program Health and Implementation:
-
Build and maintain program health dashboards, heatmaps, or signal trackers.
-
Detect patterns such as stagnation, decline and outliers.
-
Diagnose root causes using mixed methods, including interviews, FGDs, surveys, observations, process audits, and data validation.
-
Produce learning briefs and trend diagnostics with recommended actions.
-
Build training modules, aids, manager toolkits and facilitate training cohorts to support teams in maintaining program fidelity while adapting smartly to local contexts.
Foresight and Strategic Experimentation:
-
Run periodic/yearly forecasting cycles by scanning risks and opportunities across education, technology, policies and the volunteer ecosystem.
-
Translate collected insights into a structured pipeline of experiments, initiatives, or partnerships.
-
Collect and analyze required data from the said insights to evaluate the impact of the initiatives on student development.
-
Maintain reports and recommend roadmaps for continued improvement of the organization.
Required Skills:
-
Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within defined budgets and resource constraints.
-
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to design and evaluate pilots, conduct needs assessments, interpret program data, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
-
Experience in program or intervention design, including developing implementation plans, SOPs, learning materials, or scalable playbooks.
-
Ability to use data for decision-making, including trend analysis, pre/post comparisons, and identifying patterns in program performance.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and engage field teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
-
Proactive, structured, and result-oriented, with comfort working in evolving environments and driving continuous improvement.
