We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Professor of Agricultural Sciences to lead teaching, research, and academic development initiatives within the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in agricultural sciences, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and contribute significantly to research, publications, and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Agricultural Sciences.
- Develop and update curriculum in accordance with academic and industry standards.
- Guide and supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed national and international journals.
- Secure research grants and collaborate with industry, government bodies, and academic institutions.
- Mentor students and junior faculty members.
- Participate in academic committees, faculty meetings, accreditation activities, and institutional development initiatives.
- Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and extension activities.
- Contribute to outreach programs and knowledge dissemination in the agriculture sector.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Master's Degree in Agriculture with an excellent academic record.
- Qualifications and experience as per UGC/ICAR/AICTE norms (as applicable).
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of teaching/research experience in higher education institutions.
- Proven record of research publications in indexed journals.
- Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and leading funded research projects.
- Administrative experience in academic institutions will be an added advantage.
