Workshop Assistant / Engineering Helper
Position Overview
We are looking for a smart, highly active, and quick-learning Workshop Assistant to directly support our mechanical engineering team. This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking role requiring high physical energy, alertness, and a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for maintaining workshop cleanliness, managing tools, and assisting engineers with various hands-on tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Engineer Assistance: Hand tools, components, and equipment to engineers and supervisors quickly during assembly or repair work.
- Workshop Cleanliness: Keep the shop floor clean and safe. This includes immediately cleaning up oil spills, wiping down machinery, and clearing scrap materials to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Tool Management: Organize, clean, and properly store tools and equipment after use so the engineering team can find them instantly.
- Multi-tasking & General Support: Shift rapidly between different manual tasks, material handling, and basic workshop duties as directed by the supervisor.
Shift Details & Work Environment
- Working Hours: 9-hour shift per day.
- Working Days: Mon to Sat (Sun Fixed Off)
- Timing: 9AM - 6PM
- Environment: Active, fast-paced engineering workshop floor.
Ideal Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Age Profile: Ideal for energetic, sharp, and physically active individuals in their 20s (Age 20–30 preferred for high-stamina environments).
- Traits: Must be smart, quick on their feet, and capable of following spoken instructions accurately without constant supervision.
- Education: 10+2 / Diploma / Fresher Are welcomed (A 4-year engineering degree is not required).
- Physical Fitness: High stamina and agility. Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy parts, and handle messy tasks (like cleaning oil and grease) without hesitation.
