- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com preferred
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring statutory compliance, and supervising a team of two junior accountants. The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge of Tally, accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting while demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in Tally.
- Ensure timely recording and reconciliation of all accounting transactions.
- Review accounting entries passed by junior accountants.
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accounting accuracy.
Financial Statements & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including:
- Profit & Loss Account
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow Statement
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits.
- Conduct periodic analysis of financial performance and highlight key observations to management.
- Assist management with budgeting and financial planning.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare data required for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Review customer and supplier reconciliations.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Monitor ageing reports and recommend corrective actions.
Banking & Cash Management
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and fund requirements.
- Coordinate banking transactions and documentation.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise a team of two junior accountants.
- Allocate work and monitor daily accounting activities.
- Review work for accuracy and completeness.
- Train and mentor team members to improve productivity and accounting knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
MIS & Internal Controls
- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management.
- Develop and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).
- Ability to independently finalize books of accounts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing a small team.

- Improvement in receivable collections and payable management.
- Effective supervision and development of the accounting team.
- Timely and accurate MIS reporting.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capability.
Pay: ₹14,300.36 - ₹45,472.82 per month
