Major Duties & Responsibilities:
HR Operations Management
Ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs in coordination with Finance and IR.
Manage attendance, leave administration, shift records, and overtime validation.
Administer employee benefits (insurance, gratuity, welfare schemes).
Support manpower planning and onboarding for plant workforce.
Maintain adherence to internal HR policies and processes.
Employee Lifecycle Management
Manage onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exit processes.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
Maintain employee documentation and personnel files.
Ensure smooth workforce communication and issue resolution.
Employee Data Management
Maintain and update comprehensive employee records with strict confidentiality.
Leverage HRMS tools to ensure seamless data management and reporting.
Generate actionable HR reports and analytics for workforce planning and compliance monitoring.
Ensure timely filing and adherence to statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESIC, gratuity, etc.).
Support IR Manager in preparing documentation for labor inspections and audits.
Assist in maintaining statutory registers and filing returns on time.
Track leave, attendance, overtime, and other records in line with statutory requirements.
Support the implementation of workplace policies to comply with safety, labor, and factory regulations.
Assist in maintaining records for disciplinary actions, warning letters, and other HR documentation to support legal compliance.
Coordinate with contractors and manpower vendors to ensure statutory compliance of contract workforce.
Performance Management
Coordinate goal setting, performance reviews, and appraisal cycles.
Facilitate feedback discussions between employees and supervisors.
Support performance improvement plans where required.
Drive a productivity and accountability culture on the shop floor.
Employee Engagement & Welfare
Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction.
Drive employee participation initiatives and strengthen internal communication across the plant.
Administer employee welfare programs, including canteen, transportation, medical, safety, and other benefit schemes.
Training & Development
Identify training needs in consultation with department heads and plant leadership.
Coordinate and monitor training programs aimed at enhancing productivity and skill development.
Maintain training records and assess the effectiveness of development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies on the factory floor.
Strategic HR Support
Collaborate with plant leadership to align HR operations with organizational goals.
Provide input on workforce planning and retention strategies to address plant-specific challenges.
Drive organizational initiatives such as diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being programs.
General
Communicate and support the HR Business Partner to ensure employee relations policies and procedures are fairly and proportionately applied, whilst identifying opportunities for improvement to current practices.
Have excellent working knowledge of up-to-date employment legislation, best practice and case law.
Responsible for the cover of payroll, ensuring they can compile all monthly payroll data, including but not limited to, checking and cross-referencing timesheets with absence and return to work forms, checking overtime approvals, any benefit or other updates.
Act as a team player with the wider HR team by sharing knowledge and expertise.
Providing timely and accurate management information on operational aspects of HR as required.
Drive and deliver HR excellence in line with KPI’s contribution to improved HR service and Employee Satisfaction.
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in plant HR roles.
Strong understanding of labor laws, industrial relations, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
Proficient in HR management software and MS Office tools.
