We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multicast Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance multicast networking solutions. This role requires deep expertise in IP Multicast protocols and a strong background in low-latency systems, particularly within environments demanding extreme data throughput and minimal delay, often found in financial trading systems.
- Design, Migration, and maintain robust and scalable multicast software components and applications primarily in C/C++.
- Optimize existing multicast infrastructure and applications for ultra-low latency and high throughput performance in critical systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot complex network protocols, focusing on PIM (Protocol Independent Multicast), IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol), and other related multicast technologies.
- Collaborate with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and other development teams to integrate multicast solutions into broader system architectures.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance analysis of multicast applications using specialized tools and methodologies.
- Ensure the reliability, stability, and security of multicast data distribution systems, including disaster recovery and failover mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in network protocols and low-latency computing.
- Document technical designs, specifications, and operational procedures for multicast systems to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Provide expert-level support for production multicast systems, including on-call rotation as needed.
