Role Overview
We are seeking an Advanced Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Python to architect, build, and scale our core security platform. You will work across the entire stack – designing responsive front-end, engineering high-performance backend services, and deploying robust cloud-native infrastructure. This role demands a hands‑on technologist who can translate complex security requirements into elegant, maintainable code while mentoring mid‑level developers and contributing to technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Full‑Stack Development: Design and develop end‑to‑end features for our security management dashboard, real‑time monitoring modules, and incident response workflows using Python (Django/FastAPI) on the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular) on the frontend.
- API & Microservices Architecture: Build secure, scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs; decompose monolithic components into well‑defined microservices with event‑driven communication.
- Database Design & Optimisation: Model complex relational and time‑series data in PostgreSQL and Redis; ensure query performance and data integrity for high‑throughput sensor and event data.
- Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications on AWS/GCP using containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure‑as‑code; implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and zero‑downtime deployments.
- Security Engineering: Implement robust authentication (OAuth2, JWT), role‑based access control, data encryption at rest and in transit, and input validation to meet enterprise security standards.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews, establish best practices, and guide junior engineers; champion clean code, testing (unit, integration, e2e), and documentation.
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, security architects, and QA engineers in two‑week sprints; actively contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
- 6 – 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one Python web framework: Django, FastAPI, or Flask, including ORM, middleware, and authentication patterns.
- Solid experience building dynamic, single‑page applications with React (preferred) or Vue/Angular, including state management (Redux/Vuex) and component‑driven design.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ability to write complex queries and migrations and optimise indexes.
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda) or GCP.
- Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful APIs; GraphQL knowledge is a plus.
- Hands‑on with Git, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Exposure to real‑time systems, WebSockets, or IoT data ingestion.
- Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous task queues (Celery).
- Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, video management systems, access control) or cybersecurity principles.
- Prior experience in a SaaS or product‑based organisation.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, testing frameworks (PyTest, Jest), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
