Automotive Service Trainer – Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Trainer to deliver high-quality technical training to students and technicians in the automotive sector. The trainer will be responsible for conducting classroom and practical sessions, developing training plans, assessing trainees, and ensuring industry-relevant skill development aligned with current automotive technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training on automotive service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Conduct practical demonstrations on two-wheelers, four-wheelers, EV systems, and workshop equipment.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, assessments, and attendance records.
- Evaluate trainees through practical and theoretical assessments.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and workshop discipline.
- Support placement activities and industry linkage for trainees.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and training infrastructure.
- Coordinate with management, sector skill councils, and industry partners for smooth training execution.
- Guide trainees on employability skills, workplace behavior, and career growth.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive service or technical training.
- Knowledge of modern automotive systems including EV technology preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in skill development projects or NSQF-based training will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of automotive servicing tools and workshop operations.
- Ability to handle batches of trainees effectively.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and reporting systems.
