Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in engineering procurement, vendor management, and import-export coordination. The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing engineering materials, negotiating with suppliers, coordinating with domestic and international vendors, and ensuring timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities for engineering materials, components, and equipment.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project and production schedules.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for on-time deliveries.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new domestic and international vendors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain an approved vendor database.
Import & Export Coordination
- Coordinate import and export shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners.
- Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading/Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance Documents
- Shipping Documents
- Coordinate customs clearance activities.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Track international shipments and update internal stakeholders.
Inventory & Material Planning
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Planning teams for material requirements.
- Support inventory optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
Cost Control
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing.
- Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement reports.
ERP & Documentation
- Create and maintain Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Goods Receipt entries in ERP.
- Update procurement records accurately in ERP.
- Generate procurement MIS reports for management review.
- Maintain complete purchase documentation for audit purposes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of engineering procurement processes.
- Experience in Import & Export documentation and coordination.
- Vendor sourcing and relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Frappe ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping, logistics, and customs procedures.
- Familiarity with GST and basic commercial documentation.
- Understanding of ISO procurement procedures.

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
