About the Role
Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology invites applications from accomplished professionals for the position of Director – Technology Business Incubator (TBI). The Director will provide strategic leadership in establishing and managing a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem within the institute. The role involves nurturing technology-based startups, fostering industry collaborations, securing funding, promoting technology commercialization, and positioning the institute as a leading innovation hub.
Educational Qualifications
Ph.D/ Masters in engineering, Technology, Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates with an outstanding academic and professional record will be preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in Technology Business Incubation, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Startup Ecosystem, Technology Commercialization, Research & Development, or Industry-Academia Collaboration.
Experience in leading or managing Technology Business Incubators, Innovation Centres, Startup Cells, or Entrepreneurship Development Centres is highly desirable.
Proven experience in working with government funding agencies such as DST, MeitY, AICTE, MSME, BIRAC, NITI Aayog, T-Hub, or similar organizations will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for planning, developing, and managing the Technology Business Incubator (TBI).
Develop and implement policies, strategic plans, and operational frameworks to strengthen the institute's innovation ecosystem.
Identify, mentor, and support technology startups from ideation to commercialization.
Build strong collaborations with industries, research organizations, government agencies, investors, venture capital firms, incubators, accelerators, and academic institutions.
Secure grants, CSR funding, government projects, and investment opportunities for incubation programmes and startups.
Lead initiatives related to innovation, intellectual property creation, technology transfer, product development, and commercialization.
Promote entrepreneurship among students, faculty, researchers, and alumni through incubation programmes, startup boot camps, hackathons, innovation challenges, and capacity-building initiatives.
Guide incubated startups in business planning, market validation, product development, fundraising, regulatory compliance, and scaling strategies.
Develop national and international partnerships to strengthen the institute's startup ecosystem.
Ensure effective utilization of incubation infrastructure, laboratories, co-working spaces, and innovation resources.
Monitor the performance of incubated startups through measurable KPIs and prepare reports for institute management and funding agencies.
Represent the institute at national and international conferences, innovation forums, startup summits, and policy discussions.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and the guidelines of government funding agencies.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institute norms.
Pay: ₹82,531.25 - ₹132,452.55 per month
