Job Summary
The Assistant Professor of Nursing is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing education, mentoring students, conducting research, and contributing to academic and administrative activities of the institution. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, clinical supervision, and ensuring compliance with nursing education standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in nursing subjects as per the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
- Guide and supervise students during clinical postings and laboratory sessions.
- Conduct examinations, evaluate assignments, and maintain academic records.
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic committees, and accreditation activities.
- Engage in research, publications, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Coordinate with hospitals and healthcare institutions for clinical training.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department and management.
Qualification
- M.Sc. Nursing in the relevant specialty from a recognized university.
- Registration with the appropriate Nursing Council.
- Prior teaching experience in a nursing college is preferred.
