About the Role: We are a dynamic jewelry manufacturing company catering strictly to the USA market. We are looking for an experienced Head of CAD Department to lead our CAD operations in Surat. You will be the technical anchor for our design team, overseeing the creation of everything from delicate bridal sets to highly detailed, custom hip-hop pendants.
If you have a deep understanding of jewelry production requirements and a passion for mentoring a team, we want you to lead our design floor.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a growing team of CAD designers.
- Review and approve CAD files to ensure they are 100% production-ready (casting, setting, and polishing).
- Design complex, high-value custom pieces, specializing in US market trends (engagement rings, wedding bands, and intricate hip-hop jewelry).
- Bridge the gap between design concepts and manufacturing realities, troubleshooting technical issues before they hit the production floor.
- Train junior staff on best practices in Matrix and Rhino.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Significant proven experience as a CAD Designer in the jewelry industry.
- Software: Expert-level proficiency in Matrix and/or Rhino.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing, shrinkage, metal weights, diamond layouts, and setting styles.
- Leadership: Previous experience managing, teaching, or leading a design team if possible.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing ability to model bridal and custom/hip-hop jewelry.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
