Their main goal is to increase organic (unpaid) traffic to a website by optimizing its content, structure, and technical aspects in alignment with search engine algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and analyze keywords that target audiences are searching for and strategically incorporate them into content.
Optimize website elements like meta tags, headers, URLs, internal links, and content to ensure they align with SEO best practices.
Build backlinks and manage external signals that impact search engine rankings, such as guest blogging or influencer outreach.
Improve the backend structure of the website, including page speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability, indexation, schema markup, and site architecture.
Collaborate with writers and marketers to create SEO-friendly content that drives traffic and engagement.
Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track rankings, traffic, and user behavior.
