Position Overview
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and management of Infinity Solar's 350 MW solar module manufacturing facility. The role encompasses production, quality assurance, maintenance, supply chain coordination, workforce management, safety, and continuous process improvement to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective plant operations.
The Plant Manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve production targets while maintaining world-class quality standards and ensuring compliance with all statutory, environmental, and customer requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing operations.
- Ensure achievement of monthly and annual production targets.
- Optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Improve productivity through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry quality requirements.
- Maintain stringent quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams to minimize defects and customer complaints.
- Monitor process capability and implement corrective actions.
Maintenance & Engineering
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all production equipment.
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Minimize machine breakdowns and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Manage plant utilities and infrastructure.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for uninterrupted raw material availability.
- Optimize inventory levels and reduce material wastage.
- Monitor consumption of raw materials and production yields.
- Coordinate dispatch planning with logistics teams.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Promote a zero-accident workplace culture.
- Conduct regular safety audits and emergency preparedness drills.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms and waste management practices.
Financial & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor departmental budgets.
- Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Improve material utilization and reduce scrap generation.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor production personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and skill development programs.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous learning.
- Resolve operational issues through effective leadership and communication.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, pollution control norms, and electrical safety requirements.
- Coordinate audits from regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Maintain all statutory documentation and records.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations Management (preferred).
- 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in solar module, electronics, electrical, automotive, or high-volume industrial manufacturing.
- Experience in setting up or expanding a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.

Primary Objective
To establish and operate a world-class 350 MW solar module manufacturing facility that consistently delivers high-quality products, achieves operational excellence, ensures employee safety, optimizes manufacturing costs, and supports Infinity Solar's long-term growth and sustainability objectives.
