We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Producer to lead news production, coordinate editorial teams, and ensure the smooth execution of daily news bulletins, live broadcasts, and special programs.
Job Summary
The Producer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of daily news content from concept to broadcast. This role requires strong editorial judgment, production management skills, leadership abilities, and the capability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, produce, and supervise daily news bulletins, special programs, interviews, and live broadcasts.
- Coordinate with News Anchors, Reporters, Assignment Editors, Bureau Chiefs, Camera Operators, Video Editors, and Graphic Designers to ensure smooth production workflows.
- Prepare daily rundowns, story line-ups, and production schedules.
- Review scripts, visuals, graphics, and video packages before publication or broadcast.
- Monitor breaking news and make editorial decisions to update programming as required.
- Ensure all content is accurate, balanced, fact-checked, and aligned with editorial standards.
- Manage studio operations, live streaming, and outside broadcasts.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure uninterrupted production and broadcast quality.
- Monitor production timelines and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Drive innovation by introducing new program formats, audience engagement initiatives, and multimedia storytelling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with media regulations, copyright laws, and company policies.
- Prepare post-production reviews and recommend improvements for future broadcasts.
Required Skills
- Strong editorial judgment and newsroom decision-making abilities.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and team coordination skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Knowledge of newsroom workflows, live production, and broadcast operations.
- Familiarity with newsroom software, teleprompter systems, and production management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during breaking news.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of video editing, graphics, and digital publishing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Television Production, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in news production, television broadcasting, digital media, or newsroom operations.
- Previous experience as a Producer, Associate Producer, or Senior Editorial Coordinator is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing live news bulletins and digital broadcasts.
- Strong understanding of digital journalism and multi-platform content distribution.
- Knowledge of YouTube Live, OTT platforms, and social media broadcasting.
- Experience managing cross-functional editorial and production teams.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and newsroom automation systems.
