An Electrical Supervisor manages electrical teams, ensuring safe and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems by planning projects, scheduling staff, enforcing codes (NEC, OSHA), inspecting work, troubleshooting issues, managing budgets/inventory, and training junior electricians, serving as the crucial link between management and the crew for project success. Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead electricians, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure all work meets electrical codes (NEC) and company standards.
- Project Management: Plan, schedule, estimate labor/materials, and manage budgets for electrical projects, from maintenance to new installations.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Training & Development: Train new staff, mentor junior electricians, and keep the team updated on new technologies and regulations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
Key Duties:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and designs.
- Coordinate with other departments (architects, engineers).
- Manage inventory of electrical supplies.
- Handle hiring, performance reviews, and potentially termination.
- Perform hands-on electrical tasks when needed.
