Role Purpose
The Department Manager – Mobile & IT is responsible for overseeing the Mobile, IT, and Accessories sections of the store, ensuring achievement of sales targets, maintaining excellent customer service standards, managing inventory, and leading the department team to drive business growth and profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Performance
- Achieve departmental sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Drive sales through effective product demonstrations and customer engagement.
- Ensure upselling and cross-selling of products, accessories, and services.
Department Operations
- Oversee the Mobile, IT, and Accessories sections.
- Ensure proper product display, merchandising, and pricing.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness.
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment activities.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise sales executives within the department.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Allocate duties and manage staff schedules.
- Ensure team members possess up-to-date product knowledge.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movement.
- Minimize stock loss, damages, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate stock audits and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate product receiving and stock transfers.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer complaints and escalations effectively.
- Build strong customer relationships to improve repeat business.
- Ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
Product & Market Knowledge
- Stay updated on mobile phones, laptops, gadgets, accessories, and emerging technologies.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Train team members on new products and features.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in consumer electronics or mobile retail.
- Minimum 1–2 years of team leadership experience preferred.
