Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect motorcycles and scooters to identify issues or faults
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tire replacements
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using tools and equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts (engine components, chains, brakes, suspension, etc.)
- Test ride vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain records of services and repairs performed
- Advise customers on proper vehicle care and maintenance schedules
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workshop
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of two-wheeler mechanics and systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Educational Requirements:
- ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) or related field (preferred)
- Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education
Experience:
- Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in a similar role
Work Environment:
- Workshop or service center setting
- May involve exposure to grease, noise, and fumes
- Requires standing for long hours and handling heavy tools
Salary Range (India):
- Entry Level: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month
- Experienced: ₹15,000 – ₹30,000+ per month
