Role Overview
The Online Ecommerce & Marketing Head will lead the complete digital growth strategy for the brand across all online channels. This role is responsible for driving revenue, optimizing customer acquisition, building brand visibility, strengthening retention, and scaling the D2C presence across marketplaces and owned platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ecommerce Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Own P&L for D2C website and marketplace business (Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, Tira, etc.).
- Develop and execute monthly/quarterly business plans to meet revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Optimize customer journey on the website: CRO, UX improvements, funnel optimization.
- Manage cataloguing, listing quality, pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and stock health.
2. Digital Marketing Leadership
- Build and lead performance marketing strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, Affiliates, Influencers, and emerging platforms.
- Own full-funnel marketing: awareness → acquisition → conversion → retention.
- Optimize CAC, ROAS, LTV, and AOV across channels.
- Oversee content marketing, campaigns, and brand storytelling aligned with beauty industry trends.
3. Marketplace Management
Marketplace Management (India & Global)
- Manage and scale sales across marketplaces such as:
- Amazon
- Flipkart
- Nykaa
- Myntra
- Ajio
- Tira
Global E-Commerce Expansion
- Identify opportunities in international markets.
- Launch and manage products in the US, UK, UAE, and other strategic regions.
- Coordinate with logistics, fulfilment, and compliance partners.
- Monitor country-wise sales performance and profitability.
- Develop localized growth strategies.
- Develop marketplace growth strategies.
- Manage catalog creation, optimization, and content enhancement.
- Drive visibility through ads, promotions, and marketplace campaigns.
- Monitor pricing, competition, reviews, and inventory health.
- Improve conversion rates and organic rankings.
- Develop strategies for ranking, visibility, buy-box optimization, and keyword dominance.
- Coordinate with marketplace teams for deals, events, and marketing opportunities.
- Monitor customer reviews, ratings, and reputation across platforms.
4. Website & CRM Management
- Oversee Shopify/website operations, maintenance, speed, and user experience.
- Plan and execute CRM strategies via email, SMS, WhatsApp, and loyalty programs.
- Drive repeat purchases through personalized journeys and customer segmentation.
5. Analytics & Insights
- Monitor and report on marketing performance, marketplace performance, and website metrics.
- Track customer behaviour, funnel drop-offs, and product performance.
- Recommend data-backed optimizations and growth opportunities.
6. Brand & Communication
- Create consistent brand messaging across all digital touchpoints.
- Supervise photo/video shoots, creative assets, copywriting, and influencer-generated content.
- Identify and collaborate with key influencers, dermatologists, and beauty creators.
7. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and manage cross-functional teams: performance marketing, content, design, marketplace managers, CRM, and agency partners.
- Collaborate closely with product development, supply chain, finance, and offline sales teams.
Key Skills & Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience in Ecommerce, Performance Marketing, or Digital Growth roles (Beauty/Personal Care preferred).
- Strong understanding of D2C ecosystem, marketplace algorithms, and digital commerce.
- Expertise in Meta/Google ads, SEO/SEM, CRM, and website analytics (GA4, Shopify Analytics).
- Proven track record of scaling D2C revenue profitably.
- Creative mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
