Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair hospital plumbing, water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
- Attend to plumbing complaints and breakdowns in ICU, OT, wards, OPD, laboratories, emergency, and other hospital areas.
- Identify and rectify leakage, blockage, pipe damage, valve faults, and drainage issues.
- Maintain and repair taps, wash basins, toilets, flush systems, valves, faucets, and other sanitary fixtures.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of pipelines, water tanks, pumps, drainage lines, and related systems.
- Monitor and maintain hot and cold water supply systems across the hospital.
- Attend emergency plumbing breakdowns promptly to avoid disruption to patient care and hospital operations.
- Support maintenance of underground and overhead water tanks and associated pipelines.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor for major repairs and replacement requirements.
- Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and materials used.
- Follow hospital safety, infection control, fire safety, and occupational safety procedures while working.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe after completion of maintenance activities.
- Use plumbing tools, equipment, and materials safely and appropriately.
- Assist in other engineering and maintenance activities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Be available for shift duties and emergency maintenance requirements as per hospital schedule.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
