A retail store manager is the on-ground leader responsible for a store’s daily operations, staff management, inventory control, and financial profitability. They act as the primary link between corporate strategy and frontline execution, ensuring a seamless shopping experience and driving revenue.
Core Responsibilities
1. Sales & Profitability
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve or exceed store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust pricing and promotional efforts.
- Manage operational budgets, control overhead expenses, and maximize revenue.
2. Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new sales associates and floor supervisors.
- Create employee schedules, manage shift coverage, and track payroll hours.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and mentorship to motivate the team.
3. Store Operations & Inventory
- Oversee inventory levels, conduct stock assessments, and coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment.
- Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and secure daily register deposits.
- Ensure the store environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety, security, and loss prevention policies.
4. Customer Service & Merchandising
- Create a customer-centric environment, addressing escalated complaints and ensuring brand standards.
- Execute visual merchandising guidelines and maintain eye-catching displays to optimize product visibility.
Candidates with 2 to 4 years of store manager or Asst store manager experience preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
