Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Assembly Fitter for our sheet metal fabrication unit manufacturing components for metro rail and automotive industries. The candidate will be responsible for assembling fabricated sheet metal parts as per engineering drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy, quality compliance, and timely completion of assigned production targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble sheet metal components as per engineering and GA drawings.
· Perform mechanical fitting, drilling, tapping, riveting, bolting, and grinding.
· Ensure proper alignment and fitment of panels, frames, brackets, and enclosures.
· Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calliper, micrometre, height gauge, and measuring tape.
· Conduct self-inspection before submitting parts for QC approval.
· Follow torque specifications and fastening standards.
· Coordinate with fabrication, welding, and surface treatment departments.
· Maintain 5S standards and follow safety guidelines.
· Report defects, mismatches, or non-conformities to supervisor.
Required Qualification
· ITI (Fitter) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
· 2+ years of experience in sheet metal assembly.
· Experience in metro rail or automotive component manufacturing preferred.
