Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to monitor product quality.
Analyze test data and production processes to identify trends or areas for improvement.
Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring timely corrective actions.
Process Improvement:
Use tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, design, and production) to streamline processes and enhance quality.
Continuously monitor and update quality control procedures for accuracy and effectiveness.
Compliance & Regulatory Standards:
Ensure that the company complies with all industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to quality control.
Assist in preparing for external audits and inspections.
Document and maintain records of quality activities, reports, and certifications.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action:
Lead root cause analysis for defects or quality issues in products and processes.
Work with teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and make adjustments as necessary.
Supplier & Vendor Quality Management:
Evaluate and audit supplier processes and products to ensure quality standards are met.
Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and resolve issues.
Testing & Data Analysis:
Design, develop, and implement quality testing protocols to evaluate products and processes.
Analyze test results and performance data to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
Training & Support:
Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality standards and processes.
Foster a culture of quality awareness within the organization.
Support product design and development teams to ensure quality is considered at every stage of the product lifecycle.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare quality reports for management, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
Document quality findings, corrective actions, and testing outcomes.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on quality processes, audits, and certifications.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment. Typically 2-5 years of experience.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality control processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, SPC).
Familiarity with ISO standards, FDA regulations, or other relevant quality standards.
Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
