We are looking for a skilled and experienced Injection Moulding Operator to operate and maintain injection moulding machines for manufacturing electrical conduit accessories and PVC/CPVC/UPVC fittings. The candidate should have hands-on experience in handling various plastic materials and be capable of maintaining productivity, quality, and machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate injection moulding machines for products such as:
Electrical Conduit Junction Boxes
Depth Boxes
PVC / CPVC / UPVC Fittings
Set and monitor machine parameters including temperature, pressure, cooling time, and cycle time.
Perform mould mounting, clamping, and trial runs.
Ensure correct material feeding and colour change procedures.
Material Handling
Handle materials such as:
LLDPE
HDPE
PVC
CPVC
ABS
PPCP
Ensure no material mixing and proper drying where required.
Maintain minimal raw material wastage.
Productivity & Efficiency
Achieve daily production targets.
Monitor and maintain standard cycle time.
Record production quantity, rejection, and downtime.
Identify and reduce machine idle time.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Control
Perform in-process quality inspection.
Identify defects such as short moulding, flash, burn marks, warpage, sink marks, etc.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.
Maintain low rejection percentage.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve common injection moulding issues.
Assist maintenance team during breakdowns.
Support preventive maintenance activities.
Maintain machine cleanliness and lubrication.
Downtime & Reporting
Record downtime reasons accurately.
Coordinate with maintenance and stores to minimize production loss.
Maintain shift production records.
Safety & Compliance
Follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
Adhere to company SOPs and quality systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in Injection Moulding in related products specified above.
Experience in PVC/CPVC/UPVC fittings manufacturing preferred.
Strong troubleshooting ability.
Knowledge of mould setting and process parameters.
Basic understanding of production documentation.
Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Candidate Profile
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Plastic Engineering preferred.
Experience in electrical conduit accessories & PVC Fittings manufacturing is an advantage.
Strong attention to quality and productivity.
