Job Title: Senior Solar Project Engineer – Design & ExecutionLocation: MorbiDepartment: Engineering / ProjectsExperience: 2-6 years (Solar EPC preferred)Job Summary:
The Solar Project Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end execution of solar EPC projects, including system design, engineering, and on-site project execution. The role requires strong technical expertise in solar PV design along with hands-on experience in managing installation, commissioning, and project delivery within timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:1. Solar Design & Engineering
- Design solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted) as per project requirements
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings including layout, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and cable routing
- Perform system sizing, inverter selection, and string configuration
- Use tools like PVsyst/Helioscope for generation analysis and optimization
- Prepare technical proposals, BOM/BOQ, and design documentation
2. Project Execution
- Plan and execute solar EPC projects from site survey to commissioning
- Supervise installation of modules, inverters, structures, and electrical systems
- Ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety norms
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
3. Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee system testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization
- Ensure all installations comply with electrical standards and regulations
- Coordinate with DISCOMs and authorities for approvals and net metering
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with design, procurement, and liaisoning teams
- Provide regular project updates and reports to management
- Resolve technical and site-related challenges
5. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure quality control during installation and execution
- Implement and monitor safety practices at site
- Conduct inspections and maintain documentation
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of solar PV design and EPC execution
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst/Helioscope, and MS Office
- Understanding of electrical systems, HT/LT installations, and grid connectivity
- Project management and site handling skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects
- Hands-on experience in site execution and commissioning
- Familiarity with local DISCOM regulations and approvals
Key Attributes:
- Strong technical and practical approach
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
