Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our team at Emerald Jewellery Industry – Unit 6, Chengalpattu. The candidate will be responsible for capacity planning, productivity improvement, Kaizen initiatives, machine utilization monitoring through IoT, employee incentive and skill development initiatives, and cross-functional project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor production capacity based on customer requirements, machine availability, manpower, and process capabilities.
- Identify capacity gaps, bottlenecks, and productivity losses and recommend improvement actions.
- Initiate and implement Kaizen and continuous improvement activities across manufacturing processes.
- Monitor machine utilization, downtime, and performance through IoT-based systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with Production and Maintenance teams to improve machine utilization and reduce downtime.
- Drive incentive and increment initiatives based on employee skill, productivity, performance, and career-track development.
- Develop and maintain skill matrices and support employee skill progression and career development initiatives.
- Handle Industrial Engineering and productivity improvement projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Maintenance, HR, Quality, and other cross-functional teams for project execution.
- Prepare MIS, performance reports, capacity analysis, and management dashboards.
- Track improvement projects and ensure the sustainability of implemented solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, manpower optimization, productivity improvement, and process efficiency.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.
- Experience in jewellery manufacturing or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
