About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Fitter with experience in the sheet metal furniture/almirah manufacturing industry. The candidate should have hands-on experience in fitting, assembly, alignment, and finishing of steel almirahs and other sheet metal products while maintaining quality and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and fit sheet metal components as per engineering drawings.
Perform fitting, alignment, drilling, grinding, and finishing of steel almirahs.
Ensure proper installation of doors, locks, hinges, channels, handles, and accessories.
Check product dimensions, alignment, and quality before dispatch.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely.
Rectify fitting defects and perform rework when required.
Coordinate with welding, fabrication, powder coating, and production teams.
Maintain production targets without compromising quality.
Follow safety standards and 5S practices in the workplace.
Report material shortages, machine issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
Required Skills
Experience in sheet metal almirah, locker, cabinet, or steel furniture manufacturing.
Knowledge of fitting techniques, assembly, and product finishing.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with measuring tools such as tape, vernier caliper, and angle square.
Knowledge of locks, hinges, telescopic channels, and other furniture hardware.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Qualification
ITI (Fitter) preferred / 10th or 12th Pass with relevant experience.
Certification in fitting or fabrication will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
