A Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills to students, creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver mathematics lessons according to the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, and examination papers.
- Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance regularly.
- Provide extra support and guidance to students who need improvement.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage student participation.
- Use modern teaching methods, educational technology, and practical examples to simplify concepts.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and performance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance and academic records.
Qualification :
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Master Degree in Mathematics/B. Ed (Bachelor in education)
