Finance & Accounts
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- Additional qualifications such as CMA/ICWA or MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.
- 15 years and above into progressive experience in Finance & Accountss preferable from Manufacturing domain.
- Proven experience in General Accounting, Plant Accounting, Cost Control, Financial Reporting and Statutory Compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
The Account Head will be responsible for leading the Finance & Accounts function with a strong focus on General Accounting and Plant Accounting. The role requires ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, effective cost control, inventory accounting and financial governance across manufacturing operations.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage General Ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial controls.
- Manage plant accounting activities including inventory valuation, production accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Review BOMs, standard costing, variance analysis and cost allocation.
- Monitor inventory movements, WIP, finished goods valuation and stock reconciliation.
- Partner with plant operations to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.
- Ensure accurate accounting of fixed assets and capital expenditure related to manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, GST, Income Tax and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance reports.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and profitability by product, plant and business unit.
- Provide MIS reports and financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Support business expansion, process improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial functions.
- Strong knowledge of General Accounting and Plant Accounting.
- Expertise in manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting and cost accounting.
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
