Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid
Full-Time | Contract: 12 months (possible extensions or path to permanent)
About the Role:
Our client is a multi-entity technology company building and operating a regulated SaaS platform. This role is the bridge between what stakeholders need and what the development teams build: you elicit and shape requirements, document them to a standard the engineering and partner teams can build against without ambiguity, and keep delivery coordinated across a development partner team, internal functions and external stakeholders. It pairs strong, disciplined business analysis with hands on project coordination, and it is a visible, client facing role - you will spend significant time on the road and remotely in front of international clients, so command of spoken and written English and the polish to present credibly matter as much as the analytical craft.
Environment and remit:
- Software is delivered through a blended model: an internal team and an external development partner team, both of which depend on clear, well managed requirements from this role.
- Roughly half your time is spent travelling to the development partner, to client and stakeholder sites, and across the organisation's locations; so this suits someone who is comfortable working fluidly across in-person and remote settings.
- The platform is multi-tenant and serves international and regulated markets, so requirements carry data residency, compliance and market specific nuance you will need to capture accurately.
- You sit close to both the product direction and the delivery mechanics, translating between them and keeping the two partner teams aligned to one shared understanding.
Key responsibilities:
- Requirements elicitation: draw out business, functional and non-functional requirements from internal stakeholders, clients and partners through workshops, interviews and structured analysis; surface the unstated needs, not just the stated ones.
- Documentation and specification: produce clear, complete, unambiguous requirements artefacts - business requirements, functional specifications, user stories with acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe level descriptions and traceability to a standard both the internal and partner development teams can build against directly.
- Analysis and solution shaping: model current and target processes, analyse options and impacts, and work with product and architecture to shape solutions that are feasible, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Project coordination: coordinate delivery activities across the internal team, the development partner and external stakeholders - tracking tasks, dependencies, timelines and actions, and keeping everyone working to the same plan and the same understanding of scope.
- Stakeholder management: act as the day-to-day point of contact across internal functions, the partner team and clients; manage expectations, communicate progress, and keep relationships constructive across organisational and cultural boundaries.
- Client facing communication: present requirements, designs, demonstrations and progress to international clients with clarity and professionalism; gather and consolidate feedback into actionable changes.
- Change and traceability: manage requirement changes through a disciplined process, maintaining traceability from need through to delivered feature and into test.
- Quality and acceptance: support UAT planning and acceptance, ensuring what is built matches what was specified and what the client expected.
Who you'll work with: Internal product, architecture and engineering teams; the external development-partner team; clients and their representatives (often international); QA and delivery functions; and other external stakeholders such as partners and domain specialists as the work requires coordinating across all of them as the connective point between need and build.
Scope boundaries:
- Analysis and coordination, not technical ownership. Solution architecture and the build sit with the architecture and development teams; you define the requirements and coordinate delivery, rather than owning technical design or writing code.
- Coordination, not line authority. You coordinate the development-partner and internal teams toward shared delivery; people management and contractual ownership of the partner sit elsewhere - your influence is through clarity, organisation and relationships.
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum 7 years in business analysis on software/SaaS products, with a track record of requirements that teams could build from cleanly.
- Excellent requirements elicitation and a genuinely strong documentation discipline - clear specifications, user stories, process models and traceability.
- Proven project coordination ability across multiple teams, including an external development partner and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding spoken and written English, with the presence and polish to present to and engage international clients directly.
- Comfortable with heavy travel (around 50%) and with working across in-person and distributed settings.
- Strong stakeholder management across organisational and cultural lines; calm, organised and dependable under delivery pressure.
- Fluent with BA and delivery tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and with standard modelling/documentation techniques.
Desirable. BA certification (CBAP/CCBA) or Agile/Scrum credentials; experience in regulated international/multi market domains; exposure to API or integration heavy products; familiarity with UX/wireframing tools; a second language useful for international stakeholders.
Compliance. Works within the group's information security policy and India DPDP data handling expectations as they apply to analysis and documentation. Awareness of SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 control environments is an advantage given the group's certification trajectory.
Success measures. Requirements that development teams build from with minimal rework or clarification; documentation that holds up as the single source of truth; delivery kept coordinated and on track across the internal and partner teams; international clients confident in the communication they receive; clean traceability from requirement to delivered, accepted feature; and changes managed without scope drift.
