Job Title: QA Engineer (AI Product Testing & Test Automation)Role Overview
We are looking for a highly proactive QA Engineer to own end-to-end testing for the Tessact platform. This role requires someone who can independently design testing strategies, build scalable QA processes, and ensure production stability across rapidly evolving AI-driven workflows.
This is not a checklist-based QA role. The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying risks, creating testing frameworks, and maintaining quality standards without waiting for step-by-step direction.
Mandatory Requirement
- Candidates must have prior experience working in a product-based company
- Experience working on AI products/platforms is compulsory
- Candidates without exposure to AI-driven products, SaaS workflows, or production-scale deployments will not be considered
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing across the Tessact platform including UI, APIs, workflows, and AI-driven features
- Independently create testing scenarios, validation flows, and edge-case testing strategies
- Design and maintain regression test suites for continuous releases
- Validate feature behavior after every deployment or product update
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs with reproducible steps
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure release quality
- Proactively identify UX issues, workflow gaps, and platform inconsistencies
- Ensure production readiness before feature rollouts
Test Automation & Frameworks
- Build and maintain automated testing workflows using:
- Jest
- Mocha
- Develop scalable regression and validation suites for frequent deployments
- Work on API testing, workflow validation, and automated functional testing
- Contribute towards improving test coverage and release confidence
Ownership & Problem Solving
- Ability to determine what needs to be tested without detailed instructions
- Break down complex product features into testable scenarios independently
- Think beyond expected use cases and identify edge cases proactively
- Take ownership of quality assurance processes across releases
- Act as a quality gatekeeper for production deployments
Bug Tracking & QA Management
- Manage structured bug tracking systems using modern tools such as:
- Jira
- Linear
- ClickUp
- Maintain clear workflows for issue reporting, prioritization, and resolution tracking
- Ensure visibility of testing status and release quality across teams
Required Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in QA / Software Testing
- Prior experience in a product-based company is mandatory
- Hands-on experience working on AI platforms/products is mandatory
- Strong understanding of manual + automated testing methodologies
- Experience with:
- Jest
- Mocha
- Playwright/Selenium
- Experience with API testing and regression testing
- Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced release environments
Good to Have
- Familiarity with media-tech, video workflows, or content platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD and deployment pipelines
