Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Fabrication Welder who can perform MIG/TIG/ARC welding and fabrication work as per engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. The candidate should be able to handle welding, joint preparation, alignment and finishing work independently. Similar Chakan manufacturing roles commonly require MIG/TIG/ARC welding, drawing interpretation, weld inspection and shop-floor safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG / TIG / ARC welding as per job requirements.
- Read and understand fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Prepare joints by cleaning, cutting, grinding and proper alignment.
- Perform tack welding and final welding as per specifications.
- Weld MS, SS and other metal components as required.
- Set and operate welding machines and select suitable welding parameters.
- Check welded joints for visual defects, cracks, porosity, undercut, etc.
- Rectify welding defects and maintain required weld quality.
- Coordinate with Fabrication Fitters, Production and Quality teams.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, gas cylinders and consumables.
- Follow WPS, quality procedures, 5S and safety standards.
- Use appropriate PPE such as welding helmet, gloves and safety shoes.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and complete assigned production targets.
Required Skills & Qualification:
- ITI Welder / Fabrication & Fitting preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant fabrication/welding experience.
- Good knowledge of MIG / TIG / ARC welding.
- Ability to read basic engineering/fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding defects and corrective actions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to quality.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing fabrication will be preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
