Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and construction equipment. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing diesel-powered machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of diesel engines and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues.
- Maintain and repair:
- Dozer Machines
- Hydra Cranes
- Dumpers
- Buses
- Other local transport and utility vehicles
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and assemblies.
- Ensure machinery and vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain service records, repair logs, and maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company maintenance procedures.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Diesel Mechanic, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in diesel vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Experience working on dozers, hydra cranes, dumpers, buses, and other commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues independently.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and workshop practices.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction and mining equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read technical manuals and service documentation.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
