Job description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Solar Technician to join our team in Tamilnadu. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of rooftop solar Projects. The role involves working on-site at residential locations to ensure high-quality and safe solar installations in accordance with MNRE and DISCOM guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar PV systems, including structure mounting, solar panel placement, inverter connections, and wiring as per system design.
- Assist in commissioning of solar systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and repair work on existing solar PV systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and site protocols at all times.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to complete installations as per schedule.
- Accurately maintain installation and service records, and complete required documentation.
- Educate customers on basic system operation and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy (preferred).
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation, preferably in rooftop or ground-mounted systems.
- Basic knowledge of DC and AC wiring, inverters (string and hybrid), and solar system components.
- Familiarity with safety practices and tools used in solar installations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and system layouts.
- Valid two-wheeler license and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Knowledge of MNRE/DISCOM processes and net metering is an added advantage.
