Our menu features a crowd-pleasing mix of Pizzas, Burgers/Sandwiches, Momos, and French Fries. We are looking for an energetic, skilled, and multi-talented Chef to lead our cart operations, deliver exceptional taste, and maintain high standards of hygiene.
Job Summary
As the Head Chef for Hungry Rush, you will be the heart of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the food—from morning prep and inventory management to live cooking on the cart and maintaining strict cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Cuisine Food Preparation: Prepare and cook all menu items—including stretching pizza dough/assembling pizzas, frying crisp french fries, steaming/frying momos, and grilling sandwiches—ensuring consistent taste and presentation.
- Daily Mis-en-Place: Manage morning preparation (chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, marinating fillings, making dough) to ensure the food cart is fully stocked and ready before service hours begin.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Track daily stock levels, minimize food wastage, and report ingredient requirements to management ahead of time to prevent running out of items.
- Speed & Efficiency: Maintain a high pace of service during "rush hours" to ensure customers receive hot, fresh food with minimal wait times.
- Hygiene & Cart Maintenance: Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and personal hygiene. Keep the food cart, cooking equipment, and storage areas spotless at all times.
- Customer Interaction: Present a polite, clean, and welcoming attitude to customers visiting the cart.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience working as a Cook or Chef in a fast-food outlet, café, QSR, cloud kitchen, or busy food truck/cart.
- Culinary Skills: Proven expertise in handling commercial fryers, pizza ovens/grills, and steamers. Ability to multi-task across different food items simultaneously.
- Speed & Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours and work efficiently in a compact, fast-paced food cart environment.
- Local Language: Fluency in Hindi; basic understanding of English is a plus.
- Traits: Punctual, honest, hygienic, and a strong team player.
